"Payment was defenitely send. Im sure you have it by 17.00 Hr tomorrow evening on your account.

Let me finish this all in a proper way.

You will see the 1st wire arriving definitely tomorrow.  Payment was done Friday very late as you know."

"THIS PAYMENT HAS TO ARRIVE YOUR ACCOUNT, this went 100% through.  I also used your correct bankaccount, I just double checked.

So please stop, Im doing balance by Friday !!!"

With such messages, Hans Verbist, the owner of Aero Upcycling Group BV (Belgium), fed his creditors for more than 2 months. At the same time, he was terrified that the case against his company would be published in the BLACKLIST.AERO Registry. At first he demanded, then asked, then begged his creditors to actually take his word that the payment he had allegedly sent, first a week, then two weeks, and then three weeks ago, was about to arrive.

Hans was declaiming all these persuasions because several months earlier he had accepted an advance payment for an aircraft part that was never shipped. At first, Hans was making up various complications that had arisen on the way of delivery. Then he simply stopped responding to letters from the buyer. Only after the buyer created a case in the Global Aviation Register of Defaulter companies BLACKLIST.AERO did Hans reappear and start putting on a show, pretending that he had just learned about the buyer’s demand for a refund for the undelivered part:

So the Order has been cancelled.  Ill accept cancellation of your Order.

Please note I will need your bank details to send the refund.

Refund will be send by or before 31/01/25.

Please note I will not accept any publication on blacklist aero or whatsoever.  Any publication will delay the refund and I will involve a Lawyer than.

Refund will be send as mentioned above.  Ill be waiting your wire details.”

After this, a series of “payments” began, which never arrived to the victims’ accounts, as the BLACKLIST.AERO administration witnessed.

Three weeks later, Hans confessed to his creditors that Aero Upcycling Group BV had gone bankrupt and that he intended to pay from his personal account. To prove his intentions, Hans sent a payment of $1,900, promising to pay the remaining $34,172 within two weeks. And that was his only real payment. In this way, he was simply trying to buy himself time to deceive new victims, tricking them out of their money.

Here is just one piece of evidence of his exploits:

Another victim of Hans Verbist’s fraud told roughly the same story:

“Aero Upcycling Group BV, sent us pics and trace of a PN: 715201-4, APU Fuel Pump. We wired them $4000 USD and they sent us a bad AWB. They ghosted us after that. Wouldn't respond to emails or phone calls”.

A SERIES OF FRAUDULENT COMPANIES

According to eyewitnesses, Hans Verbist has been involved in fraud in the aviation parts market for quite a long time, at least 10 years. However, he became known to the general public when the Belgian newspaper l’Echo made a report on a former military air base in the town of Brustem, which was transformed into a Startup Development Center in the aviation sector.

In particular, the newspaper wrote about Hans Verbist as the head of a young company called Fenix Recycling. According to Verbist, his company dismantles old aircraft and selects those parts that can still be used for their intended purpose. And also recycles what can no longer be used in aviation. If you believe Verbist, he even planned to produce vintage furniture from aircraft components. But apparently something went wrong later. Either despite all his experience (in the article Hans Verbist says that since his father was once responsible for the hangar at Zaventem Airport, and he himself stood under an aircraft at the age of 6), the initial profitability calculations turned out to be incorrect. Or the nature of an adventurer could not come to terms with the need for hard work to build a reputation in this field and the desire to quickly earn money took over. But Fenix Recycling was showered with complaints about the sale of aircraft parts that were paid for by customers, but subsequently never delivered. As a result, the company went bankrupt.

“(My father - ed.) told me never to work in aviation. But passion did not allow me to leave,” Hans Verbist mentioned in his interview. Apparently, his father was not only an experienced, but also a perspicacious person ...

However, Hans did not lose heart for a long time and opened the Aero Upcycling Group BV company, which also became famous for a similar fraud scheme. Only the lack of a public blacklist among MRO market participants allowed Hans Verbist to deceive buyers of aircraft parts again and again. But when Hans’ victims started contacting BLACKLIST.AERO, he became seriously worried. Repeatedly repeating that all debts would be closed, but only if the cases were not published in the Registry and sending fake payment orders, he was stalling for time. For what? This became clear to our Operations team when they discovered Hans Verbist’s newly opened company - MEDITERRANEAN AIRCRAFT SUPPORT (Malta).

The scammer decided to once again flee under the wing of a new company, hoping that this would give him time to earn enough on new gullible clients. Our task, dear readers, is to prevent the scammer from realizing his criminal plan. We at BLACKLIST.AERO will contact law enforcement agencies in order to prosecute this outright criminal.

Meanwhile, the editorial board and the administration of the BLACKLIST.AERO Registry ask you to spread the word about the new scam company Mediterranean Aircraft Support (Malta) as widely as possible among the MRO market participants. New victims of fraud can be avoided if we act together.

We also ask you to inform us if you know any information about other companies owned by Hans Verbiestю. Thank you in advance for your support!
