HALIS DIN IS STILL IN JAIL. HE FACES 1.5 YEARS IN PRISON

A week after my post about the fact that the co-owner of MERKUR HOLDING (Turkey) Halis Din should be released from prison, he is still behind bars. What is the reason?

According to one of our sources, who is familiar with the circumstances of the case, it is only a procedural matter and he may soon be released. Although not for long. Since the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing and Halis faces 1.5 years in prison on the charges brought against him.

It's just a period and procedure matter. He will be released soon. But investigation and legal cases against him will continue. He may get another long-term jail punishment around 1.5 years if the court decides he is guilty,” our source said.

According to another of our sources, the culprits of such a long release are… Yes, yes, the same “Procedures metter”. Only, as the respondent hinted, these reasons are hidden by the human factor.

“For the release a person from prison needs to do some paperwork. And papers can go from office to office faster or slower. In this case, no one had any motivation to release him before the holiday weekend. He has angered many people here in Turkey with his scandals and various antics, he has many enemies now, this is how our source described the situation.

Meanwhile, the fate of MERKUR HOLDING is becoming increasingly unclear. Many of those who believed in Halis’s old connections, which helped him get out of more than one trouble, are now disappointed in his ability to keep the situation under control.

Halis’s admission that MERKUR is expecting major planned layoffs, which were confirmed by the dismissal of 5 people from Operations team at once, also does not add confidence in the future to the employees of the companies that are part of Merkur Holding.

People from Merkur are increasingly looking for work. Some have already found a new place and can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Everyone is tired, the show is coming to an end.
